Website + SwiftKit MS + Bluelight Dev

They say good things come in three, and in this case they would be correct. Over the past month or two we've been pretty quiet, well there's a reason for that and it will be explained in this news post. The news post will be split up into the three announcements, so let's get started with SwiftKit MS.

SwiftKit MS
SwiftKit MS stands for SwiftKit MechScape, the title should be somewhat self-explanatory. The SwiftKit Team will be developing a ToolKit for Jagex's new upcoming MMORPG, MechScape. The current SwiftKit that you know will be renamed to SwiftKit RS. While SwiftKit RS and SwiftKit MS will be two completely separate applications, they will still share some things such as the SwiftKit Launcher and your SwiftKit profile.

As it's still very early stages, we don't have much more information. However you can keep up to date and participate in the development by heading over to the SwiftKit MS forums. Also keep an eye on the SwiftKit website which now has a SwiftKit MS section.

New Website
The SwiftKit Website has finally received a much needed face lift. The old website was beginning to get bloated and was rather slow loading. The new site is a huge improvement over the old one in regards to loading times and presentation.

So check it out and let us know what you think.

Bluelight Dev
With the recent desires to start other projects the SwiftKit team have setup a parent name for all products or services that we release. So what this basically means is we can develop other products and services all under the one parent name, Bluelight Dev.

We encourage you to check out the website and forums. If you're interested in working on a project with us then definitely sign up to the forums and have a look.

mechscape seems aight. id like to finish up on rs tho. Theres prob going to be some rewards for players that joined mechscape tearly, then players later on tho. llike rs, players back in cl****ic got p hats and stuff. idk u never know...

I think that you cant judge qa game by the way it looks.. look at rs for example may not be the most updated graphics or the best skills but people play it.... just like mechscape that people will play because it talks to them.... if you dont like to play mechscpae then 2 bad, let the people that want to play it play it. stop messign with them and stop bchin if u dont like it thats my coment.

I hope mechscape is like rs, that would be quite fun i guess :) and to all ppl whining....comon boys dont be such b i t c h e s!!

I read that MechScape will be aimed more at the adolesence rather than teenagers. I've also seen soem concept drawings and it looks like there will be things like aircraft to fly in and different planets to go to. I dont know if this is all true but thats what I've found in my research about it.

Just reserve like 5 minutes to browse through options and other areas. SK gives good picture out of itself pretty easily.

SwiftKit is the best thing for irc and runescape help! It is so helpful for everything! One suggestion would be to teach people how to do use IRC(first time people)

im new to swiftkit...all i kno is tht its very helpful to me for many ways, why not add a sum it up part of swift kit. just sum up evrything uve done and r planning to do. it'd help me a lot

well this does look intresting but im expecting high expections since runescape is a pretty good game so if there deciding to make another game i think they got a good game planned

I'm looking forward to Mechscape. Not solely on the gameplay, but how the Runescape community will respond to it.

Having 2 games isn't gonna suddenly ruin the whole company. Believe it or not, people ARE paying to play games on FunOrb. The same will probably go for MS.

Runescape cl****ic doesnt update anymore, because they kinda updated runescape cl****ic.
Mechscape is like funorb, it wouldnt stop Runescape, because it got their own development team and stuff

Lol, you people are funny, you're predicting things about a game which, i'm going to assume, you've not even seen the gameplay of.. Stop your whinging, to put it nicely. If you don't think it'll be good, don't play it.

I'm not even looking foward to MechScape. It seems like just annother game JaGeX will make, then ruin. After Funorb, which in my opinion was a sucess, they should have just stopped.

LOL if you've heard of BattleOn or DragonFable, you know of their game of an epic failure, AKA mechquest, idk if JaGEx will follow the path they did, but I certainly hope not.

And if you liked Battleon, DragonFable, or MechQuest, then you probably know that AdventureQuest has developed a new game called AdventureQuestWorlds, it's multi-player, just in case you didn't know...

The Swiftkit doens't stay in the same place, when I'm restarting it, no matter how many times I adjust it. It worked perfectly before this new version, but the issue renewed with the new version.

Own Client for something like Mechscape? Funorb was a failure, and you're still awaiting for a MeChScApE? You're increasing the meaningless hyping for a new bluff on behalf on your production staff? Oh dear.

What do you all think mechscape will be like??
