Website + SwiftKit MS + Bluelight Dev

They say good things come in three, and in this case they would be correct. Over the past month or two we've been pretty quiet, well there's a reason for that and it will be explained in this news post. The news post will be split up into the three announcements, so let's get started with SwiftKit MS.

SwiftKit MS
SwiftKit MS stands for SwiftKit MechScape, the title should be somewhat self-explanatory. The SwiftKit Team will be developing a ToolKit for Jagex's new upcoming MMORPG, MechScape. The current SwiftKit that you know will be renamed to SwiftKit RS. While SwiftKit RS and SwiftKit MS will be two completely separate applications, they will still share some things such as the SwiftKit Launcher and your SwiftKit profile.

As it's still very early stages, we don't have much more information. However you can keep up to date and participate in the development by heading over to the SwiftKit MS forums. Also keep an eye on the SwiftKit website which now has a SwiftKit MS section.

New Website
The SwiftKit Website has finally received a much needed face lift. The old website was beginning to get bloated and was rather slow loading. The new site is a huge improvement over the old one in regards to loading times and presentation.

So check it out and let us know what you think.

Bluelight Dev
With the recent desires to start other projects the SwiftKit team have setup a parent name for all products or services that we release. So what this basically means is we can develop other products and services all under the one parent name, Bluelight Dev.

We encourage you to check out the website and forums. If you're interested in working on a project with us then definitely sign up to the forums and have a look.

mechscape is a brand new game jagex been working on for several years now, its going to be a MMORPG kust like RuneScape is MMORPG

tbh people still can get unmuted or unbanned after getting permanant ban/perm mute... I have tested this out... I made and acc and it got perm mute...... it later became unmuted. my friend's acc got perm banned and a yr or 2 later it got unbanned.

if u wanna know what mechscape is like just type mechquest in google and click on 1st link play that its all about robots but 3d picture it in your head if u dnt like rs that much mechscape is for you but if u like rs then rs is for u make sense? lol and btw combine mechquest with runescape merge them think of 2 screens rs on left mq on right put em togeather ms they take the base idea of mechquest and put 3d stuff in like runescape thats what mechscape is about

I doubt that "MECHSCAPE" *sigh* will be better than Runescape.
Surely I will not quit SwiftKit!

to #45, i had the same problem, just go through your computor and delete all the swiftkit programs, and then download the SwiftKit RS v1.30

it worked fine for me after that

I agree with the guy at the top about asking jagex to integrate swiftkit into runescape, whats the point in doing all that hard work(which you guys are doing a great job of) and getting no profit.

Dudes, SK is the best client thingy I've ever used. Pure awesomeness.

Only problem is, I wana run this on my Win2k SP4 system, but I get an error, code 430, after the launcher updates and loads my profile. Sucks, cause I love SK and wana use it.

Hey, why don't you get ahold of JaGeX and intigrate your ToolKit into their game! Like from the webpage only option to play. THEN! Maybe you can make some money, but i've used SwiftSwitch, Then SwiftKit for a looongtime, and i think it would be dope if you got a toolkit into JaGeX. Idk think about it ; )

well i would have to say 1-2 hours past a quarter to never, permanent means for ever, are you stupid?

tbh, i will play both rs and ms, i mean, rs will be first priority of course because i have pla**** for longer than i can remember, but another mmorpg that isnt WoW would be good for jagex's rep, im looking foreward to it, and to SKms

holy hell JaGex goes to E3? haha, i never even knew this so i guess im not as big as a nerd as i though. but you all have to agree after all the let downs on runescape it would be good to have a new MMORPG, like losing pking, how many people ruined their few months of work just because there was some real world trading. seriosuly? no way to stop real world trading. they will have to delete bounty hunter also. but what ev's i guess. im interested for dis all new MMORPG, better be good.

i think it will be like 2142 everyone jumped form bf2 to 2142 for about 3 months then they jumped back to bf2. I believe that in an interview at E3 a JaGeX Rep said that RuneScape was going to be the Main Project for at least the next 5 Years.

Tbh it sounds great that a new mmorpg is comingout. But when it does come out what effect do you think it will have on RS? I really dont want RS to die tbh. Everyone that plays RS moves to MS?

Lets hope that MechScape, Is a great game, That becomes very popular.
Lets also hope that SwiftKit MechScape will become the most popular MechScape, AND RuneScape toolkit formed.
So far, it is definitely the best ToolKit I have ever used.

Well, I definately like the sound of this, but why come out with a Mechscape Swiftkit now?? It would basically be a window that is called Mechscape, If I was you, I'd put it in beta... Maybe update the Swiftkit to a new setup again? and make it where when you don't choose the SK browser and the default broser is selected, it actually uses your default and not just converge over to Internet Explorer....I would love to see Mechscape's Swiftkit become something more of a guider into the game, like start it out with How to play, what there is to do in it... As I do know, noone but JaGeX knows what is really going on with this New game, I hope you guys can build up some good idea's for Mechscape. As for Other News, I beleive that you should make like a funorb Link too...Like a new guide for the new game Armies of Geilinor(AoG), as this game requires strategy...A guide to this game could come in handy for a select few people.....

SwiftKit is AWESOME, keep up the good work!
One lil problem, though--SwiftKit doesn't work (I get error 47 after trying to start it up) on Windows 2000. Can you fix that? I'd love to use SwiftKit on my personal machine.

Razorr521 - Jagex said at E3 2008 that they were making a new game called MechScape and it would come out in the first quater of 09

On mechscape world there is plenty more information on how we know why there is going to be MS

To be completely honest, I'm still wondering where you actually got your 'source' that JaGex is developing a new MMORPG named Mechscape. JaGex wouldn't post something like that most likely available on there own website and I believe you already know that Wikipedia is user submitted.
